A Night of Chaos and Championship Glory
IWRA’s highly anticipated PLE, Armageddon, kicked off in explosive fashion with a gauntlet match for the Forge Men’s Championship. After last week’s title defence between Alex Drake and Omar Kareem was interrupted by Will Oxley and Brandon Colt, management decided to settle the score with a high-stakes, multi-man battle. The match saw Brandon Colt, Will Oxley, Omar Kareem, Isaiah Jacobs, and Ray Ricardo challenge Alex Drake for the prestigious belt, leading to an all-out war in the ring.
Brandon Colt was the first competitor to enter, shortly followed by Will Oxley. As soon as the bell rang, the two wasted no time, engaging in an intense battle. Brandon lunged at Will, but Will dodged swiftly, taking Brandon down with a breath-taking springboard DDT. Wasting no time, Will attempted an early pin, but Brandon kicked out with authority. Regaining control, Brandon turned the tables and began his onslaught, punishing Will with heavy strikes and slams.
The next entrant, Omar Kareem, made his way into the ring as Brandon continued his dominance. With Will reeling, Brandon slammed him hard into the mat before charging at Omar, levelling him with a massive clothesline. Not one to back down, Omar quickly turned his attention to Will, attempting a pin, but Will managed to kick out in time. Brandon then shifted his focus to Omar, pummelling him into the canvas before leaping onto Will and delivering a brutal assault.
With both Will and Omar rolling out of the ring in search of weapons, Brandon pursued Will and sent him crashing to the floor with a vicious punch. As Isaiah Jacobs made his way down to the ring, Omar seized the moment, grabbing a kendo stick and delivering a devastating shot to Brandon. He turned the weapon on Will as well, but Brandon recovered quickly, snatching the kendo stick away before Omar could strike him again. Meanwhile, Isaiah Jacobs added to the mayhem by retrieving a steel chair from beneath the ring and taking Omar down with a thunderous shot to the back.
As chaos unfolded, Alex Drake stormed down the ramp, joining the fray and targeting Omar Kareem. He attempted a quick pin on Omar, but Omar kicked out. The last competitor, Ray Ricardo, soon made his entrance, immediately going after Omar before shifting his focus to Will Oxley, striking him with a steel chair. With all six competitors in the ring, the match turned into an all-out brawl, with each man desperate to claim victory.
The eliminations began when Omar Kareem took down Will Oxley with a devastating DDT and successfully pinned him, making Will the first to be eliminated. The reigning champion, Alex Drake, failed to retain his title after being overpowered by Brandon Colt, who executed a monstrous suplex before pinning him for the three-count. With the champion dethroned, a new champion was guaranteed.
Ray Ricardo was the next to fall, taken out by Isaiah Jacobs with a perfectly executed sling blade before being pinned. This left the final three competitors: Brandon Colt, Isaiah Jacobs, and Omar Kareem. Brandon attempted to pin Isaiah, but Isaiah kicked out, only to remain on the mat, seemingly injured. Sensing an opportunity, Brandon tried again after brutalizing Omar, and this time, Isaiah relented, effectively eliminating himself from the match.
The final battle was set—Omar Kareem versus Brandon Colt. Omar, having previously defeated Brandon, aimed to repeat history, but Brandon was determined to change the narrative. Omar attempted a pinfall, but Brandon kicked out in dramatic fashion. Switching tactics, Omar locked Brandon into a submission hold, but Brandon refused to tap. Seeing no other option, Omar released the hold and resorted to a more brutal approach, grabbing a steel chair and delivering a series of punishing strikes to Brandon.
With Brandon weakened, Omar seized the moment, executing a decisive pinfall to capture the Forge Men’s Championship. As the referee raised his hand in victory, Omar Kareem stood tall, cementing his place as the new Forge Men’s Champion.
With this monumental win, Omar Kareem has solidified himself at the top of the Forge division. However, with competitors like Brandon Colt and Isaiah Jacobs lurking, his reign may be challenged sooner rather than later. Armageddon has set the stage for new rivalries and unfinished business, ensuring that the chaos in IWRA is far from over.
